Throughout the years, LAAE has made several functional vehicles using different sources of renewable energy like solar-power and hydrogen-fuel cells.
Our teams have competed in over 15 major competitions, since the 1980s and our students have gained valuable skills from these events that would help them in the real world.
World Solar Challenge - Managed to raise $10000 to send a team to compete in it, finished the race across the continent of Australia
Winston Solar Challenge- Won 1st Place in Dallas Texas
Solar BikeRayce - Our solar vehicle, Light Speed set a national speed record of 100km in 2 hours 21 minutes
These projects are typically reserved to the workshop teams and design, but is open to anyone willing to put in the effort on complex matters.
